Teaching doctrines or teachings of men robs us of our salvation
Doctrines of men that also cause us not to be saved. Mark 7:7
In the name of God, we observe, keep, or practice some noble noteworthy doctrines that go against what the bible says. As a result, Jesus declares in Mark 7:7 that our worship is in vain.
You might have heard of or read medical or scholarly studies or other respected sources that tout the benefits or common sense reason for vegetarianism. Read a consensus on vegetarianism below.
People become vegetarians for many reasons, including health, religious convictions, concerns about animal welfare or the use of antibiotics and hormones in livestock, or a desire to eat in a way that avoids excessive use of environmental resources. Some people follow a largely vegetarian diet because they can't afford to eat meat. Becoming a vegetarian has become more appealing and accessible, thanks to the year-round availability of fresh produce, more vegetarian dining options, and the growing culinary influence of cultures with largely plant-based diets. https://www.health.harvard.edu/staying-healthy/becoming-a-vegetarian (Updated: December 4, 2017Published: October, 2009)
But, what does Jehovah God says about eating meat?
We do not have any record if the antediluvian, including Adam and Eve, ate flesh meat. However, Jehovah God commanded Noah and the other seven survivors of the Flood, in Genesis 9:3-4, to kill and eat but not to eat the blood.
After the Exodus, Jehovah God did not order the Israelites to stop eating meat when they settled in Israel, as we read in Deuteronomy 12:15-23.
In Leviticus 11 and Deuteronomy 14, there is a list of animals that may and may not be eaten. The Levites, the priests were meat (flesh) eaters in
(1 Samuel 2:12-17).
Does God intend to poison us with meat all this time?
There is no place in the Torah and the Prophets where God commnanded or insinuated that we may no longer eat meat. So, those who push for vegetarianism as if it is a doctrine or command of God are teaching false doctrines. Who prevails in the teachings about eating meat? Jehovah God or men? Could we be sinning by not eating meat?
